How It All Began
El Parque was originally PAL RV Resort, a winter getaway
RV park for snowbirds from the US and Canada.
When it was developed into a condominium, many of
those expats bought homes and are still here today.
In 2009, some of our residents put together a book of the individual stories of what brought us all to El Parque. Joyce Harland, along with Ernie Jukes and Sheldon James edited, produced, designed and published the book
We Came Like Monarchs to...PAL Rv Park, El Parque Villas.
It was full of stories written by the people that had come here in the beginning, how they found it, and what made them decide to move here. A few original owners might still have a copy.
